Able Pupil Enrichment

Art Enrichment

Some of our talented KS1 and KS2 artists had the opportunity to work with Jess Dickins ,a fine art student, to produce a 3D model of what “resilience” meant to them.  Look at the amazing results!

500 words

We all enjoy writing stories and entered the BBC Radio 2 500 words competition

Four of our Year Five and Year Six pupils attended an able maths day at Salfords Primary School at the end of September.  It was led by Andrew Jeffrey who has a wealth of experience: school inspector, lecturer, author, teacher trainer and mathemagician

The words that the children used to describe the day were: “enjoyable”, “unforgettable”, “hard”, “amazing”, “really fun” and “made you think!”  A fabulous day was had by all!

We love writing!

We drafted our own books, edited them with Mrs Bischof and turned them into real books!

Year 6 Maths enrichment

A group of Year 6 children took part in a Maths Enrichment Day with pupils from Northgate and Three Bridges  Primary Schools.

The session was run by a Maths teacher from Hazelwick and all the children were very actively engaged!

Book review

KS2 Book report competition

Two of our more able readers organised a book report competition for KS2 children.  They produced a PowerPoint presentation to introduce the competition in assembly and then worked with Mrs Bischof to evaluate and judge the entries.

During our March maths enrichrichment day we made human pie charts and bar graphs.
